Security guard job duties?

Thank u for ur time. Ok I'm 18, just started workin a month now. My ? Is are security suppose to get involve the situation or just call the cops? I'm not a fighter, and we don't have weapons. Were just suppose to "observe an report" right?lol like da movie..anyway cuz last time somethin happen, I work at this parkin lot with a grocery store , with their own security an this guy always madd dogs every car, every person that walks inside the store, an idk this guys an idiot, last time he asked me "are you scared" I'm like noo I'm not going to risk it for 11 bucks, he gets paid 9 lol what would u do, thanks
